Yarjan Abdul Samad

Yarjan Abdul Samad is an Associate Professor at Khalifa University, where his research focuses on advanced manufacturing, additive manufacturing, and multifunctional materials for structural and aerospace applications. His work integrates materials design, processing, and performance evaluation, with emphasis on scalable fabrication routes and functional integration.

He has extensive experience in polymer-based and composite materials, nanocomposites, and 3D-printed structures, including their mechanical, thermal, and functional behaviour under demanding operational conditions. Within the Topical Team, he contributes expertise relevant to manufacturing in space and the development of resilient material systems compatible with future space infrastructure and in-situ fabrication concepts.
