Claire Perfetti
Claire Perfetti is a senior researcher at the Centre for Research and Engineering in Space Technologies (CREST) at Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB), where she applies multidisciplinary expertise in materials science, sensing technologies, machine learning, and space engineering. Her research focuses on developing novel materials and systems for extreme environments, including space applications such as astronaut health monitoring and lunar surface resilience. She holds a PhD in Applied Sciences from ULB and has built an international profile spanning academic and industrial R&D, including postdoctoral research in Japan and consulting roles focused on machine learning and R&D strategy. She has contributed to ESA programmes such as NEPTUNE and WHISKIES and collaborates on the UAE Lunar Rover Mission (MAD Experiment), with publications in journals including Materials, Langmuir, and Journal of Crystal Growth.
