Angelo Maligno

Angelo Maligno is a professor of Composite Materials at the Institute of Innovative Sustainable Engineering (IISE) at the University of Derby. He has been appointed EPM-Technology Chair, leading research on the mechanics of composite materials and the design and analysis of advanced structures, with particular emphasis on nano-augmented / nano-engineered hybrid structures for harsh environments and high-temperature applications in the aerospace and motorsport industry. He coordinates research and development activities in the state-of-the-art facilities at EPM-Technology in Derby. The Institute supports advanced manufacturing and engineering companies across regulated and safety-critical sectors and has established strategic partnerships across Europe, the USA, and Asia, with strong industrial collaboration at its core.
