Andrey Ustyuzhanin
Andrey Ustyuzhanin is an associate professor at Constructor University Bremen, specialising in
computational materials science, machine learning–assisted materials discovery, and multiscale
modelling of complex materials. His research focuses on data-driven approaches to predict
structure–property relationships, accelerate materials design, and guide experimental
development of advanced functional materials.
His work spans first-principles calculations, statistical mechanics, and artificial intelligence,
with applications to two-dimensional materials, nanostructures, and materials for extreme
environments. Within the Topical Team, he contributes to the development of predictive
material-by-design frameworks supporting space-qualified materials and data-driven technology
development.
