Andrea C. Ferrari
Andrea C. Ferrari is Professor of Nanotechnology at the University of Cambridge and Director of the Cambridge Graphene Centre. He is internationally recognised for pioneering work on graphene, carbon nanomaterials, and two-dimensional materials, spanning fundamental science to technology translation. His research has laid the foundations for applications in electronics, photonics, sensing, energy, and advanced composites, with strong emphasis on scalable manufacturing and industrial deployment. He has coordinated and contributed to major European and international initiatives, including leadership roles within the Graphene Flagship, and actively supports the integration of advanced materials into aerospace and space-related technologies.
